Load Carriage

In today’s theater of war the infantry is expected to operate with gear weighing from 66 lbs up to his full body weight! No need to be a scientist to know that poorly designed load bearing and protective gear that lacks integration, will dramatically reduce the mental and physical performance of the infantry soldier, his mobility, survivability and ability to respond and perform well in complex missions. It is therefore necessary to use a “holistic” approach using innovative and creative ways to reduce the burden put on the infantry.

The Dynamic Weight Distribution (DWD) System will allow the user while on-the-move, with a simple pressing of a button to shift the weight of the load from 100% on his shoulders to 100% on his hips and anything in between. With the DWD system, user can decide at any given moment throughout his mission, how weight is distributed on his body. This capability not only reduces potential back injuries it also improves comfort, reduces the perception of the weight carried and allows better ventilation & thermal control. The DWD permits complete natural movement and flexibility while bearing extremely heavy loads.
